Third year of uni is here and it’s time to discuss my enterprise idea and assemble my knowledge behind entrepreneurship. During this weeks introduction to Enterprise, I have established the meaning of an enterprise, researched into famous entrepreneurs such as Kanya King as well as began to plan and develop my final enterprise idea, taking into consideration my skills and qualities that could benefit my originality.

I created a mind map which allowed me to distinguish a number of potential Enterprise ideas. (See image below)

1. The first idea I came up with was a magazine. I had two ideas for this magazine, one being a womens mag focusing on womens issues around the world such as feminism, stereotypes and gender equality, as well as discussing numerous topics that would be beneficial towards women such as fashion, lifestyle and beauty. The magazine would also feature articles written by women in society who may want to share their stories. The second idea was a student magazine sold at numerous universities and colleges with content that would benefit students, whether this may be through discussing exam techniques, how to improve time management and taking the next step into employment.

2. Secondly, I came up with the idea of creating a radio station, which would be held at my university itself and ran by a group of students. The radio station would be similar to the magazine but a broadcast version rather than print. This would also feature guest talks, students interviewing each other, offering their advice and help through the station as well as a space for new upcoming music artists to preview their music on this platform to gain publicity and audience interaction.

3. Similarly, my third idea was to create a series of podcasts speaking about life in general. Whether this be student related, fashion, beauty and lifestyle related or real life discussions with other members of the public regarding specific issues/topics. There would also be a twitter account created specifically for this podcast where listeners can give their opinions on what they would want to hear being discussed, allowing me to network with our listeners and create content for their needs.

After contemplating all ideas and establishing the pros, cons, budget and easiness of creating these as an Enterprise, I decided on developing my last idea as a freelance photographer which I will discuss further throughout this blog.
